The dust settles upon the ground
He is dazed, then glancing all around
Listening intently, but hearing no sound
Where did she go, the girl he just found?
He had walked right up to her, laying there in the grass
Her hair looked so lovely, she had so much class
She was just like a sip of good wine from a glass
As he approached her, she told him "just pass"
He stopped quite abruptly with nothing to say
She said "just keep walking, i'm not here to play"
But, why?, he thought, "Why can't i stay?
I'd even take a raincheck for some other day"
"Don't be pathetic!" she said full of heat.
"I'm not here to play, I'm here to meet
My boyfriend is coming, his name is Pete.
He is quite jealous, go away or you might get beat"
He stood there silently staring with nothing to do
All she did was just tell him to "shoo"
Then all at once he heard a guy shout, "Hey you!"
He jumped quite high, then noticed she flew
Literally, no, but she was quick as sound
When the dust had settled, he searched all around
He looked where she was last seen on the ground
But alas, his beautiful girl was no where to be found.
