8/25/02: SummerSlam 2002 is easily one of the most momentous in the event’s 17-year history. Brock Lesnar defeats The Rock for the WWE Championship and Shawn Michaels makes his triumphant return to the ring by defeating his former DX comrade Triple H in a Non-Sanctioned Street Fight.
8/28/94: Shawn Michaels and Diesel win their first and only World Tag Team Championship together by defeating The Headshrinkers at a Live Event in Indianapolis, Ind.
8/27/95: At SummerSlam 1995, Bertha Faye wins her first and only Women’s Championship by pinning Alundra Blayze in Pittsburg, Penn.
8/26/02: SmackDown! General Manager Stephanie McMahon coxes WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and his agent Paul Heyman away from Eric Bischoff. Lesnar agrees to perform exclusively on Thursday nights and no longer appear on RAW. This leaves the Monday brand without a world championship.
