Symbols

*Circle-  Oneness, union, protection, cyclical nature of life. Circles are very important and are often a part of other symbols. For example, a circle with a dot in the center is used to represent the sun.

*Pentagram- The pentagram is also extremely important. Aside from being one of the major sybols of the pagan movement it has deep symbolism. It, in itself has been used as a symbol of peace and of being complete. Each corner also has particular symbolism.

*Square- The four corners of creation, the elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water), seasons.
Earth= North  Material Concerns

Air= East  Human Intellect

Fire= South Passion

Water= West Seat Of Emotions
*Cauldron- Symbolizes the Goddess. May be placed on the alter to represent a/the Goddess.

*Ankh- Egyptian, represents vitality and fertility. May be used as a holy symbol for Osiris or Isis.

*Hexagram- Two triangles, one right side up and one upside down may represent duality. May indicate a spell in which extra caution is necessary.

*Cross- four seasons or directions, crossover between the mortal and spiritual (note: Many deities have crosses including the Greek Hecate)

*Dot or Point- oneself or an end

*Spirit- May Also Be Self
