Sorghum Drop Cookies
1/4 C Packed brown sugar
1/4 C Butter or margarine
1/2 C Sorghum
1 Egg
1 1/4 C All-purpose flour
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground ginger
1/8 tsp Ground cloves
1/8 tsp Salt
1/3 C Buttermilk
1/4 C Raisins
Cream sugar and butter; beat in sorghum and egg.
Stir together flour, soda, spices, and salt.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk;
beat after each addition.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
Top each with one or two raisins.
Bake at 350 for 7 to 10 minutes.
