Apple And Pineapple Crisp
4 cups sliced peeled apples 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple 1 tablespoon lemon juice 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Arrange the apple slices in a 9"x9" baking dish that has been buttered. Mix the undrained crushed pineapple and the lemon juice in a bowl. Spread over the apples. Combine the brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg and pecans in a bowl and mix well. Stir in the butter with a fork. Sprinkle over the pineapple layer. Bake, covered with foil, for 30 minutes; remove the foil. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes longer or until the top is crispy. |
