Cow Girl By Jeanie Johnson Copyright 2006 They claim a girl cain’t rope or ride, as dandy as a man. I’m here to say that just aint so, because I surely can. Just ask my horse, he’s lean and mean, and muscled to the max, He ain’t no dude ranch rockin?horse, and that my friend’s fact. I tell ya boys I’ve roped a few with fire in their eyes, Them ornery critters could have thrown a man that’s twice my size! But I got grit and I got gumption, that can’t be knocked around. You can bet your lucky Sunday spurs that I can beat them all hands down. Don’t drop your jaws, like you all think I’m spinnin?you a yarn, Just cuz I’m pretty soft and pink, don’t keep me from a barn. I shoot a rifle just as straight and good as any fella, So don’t think you can put me down, just cause my hair is yella. But I admit with all this grit, my hide may need a scrub. And when the wolf howls to the moon, you’ll find me in my tub, And then my gents, no matter what I do out on a horse, You won’t have trouble seeing that I’m just a girl…of course.
