If you can't remember the old Soviet block, go to China and see if you like what you're questioning.

Bumps, you're older than me??!! I LIKE that in a person. I thought Harry True fired General McCarther for even suggesting such a rational and timely move.

Religion can be abolished but not politics. You don't think that our founding fathers were politicians?  Politicians can be good. An example is Senator Richard Luger. My informaton that I constantly must have on a daily basis is CPB,  C-Span programming and some Internet stuff. If you watch the hearings on C-Span you can see and hear the politicians and you can learn the states that each one represents. The only thing that keeps commercial TV and Radio alive are the ratings. CPB and C-Span don't need ratings to exist.  Someof your tax dollars support CPB and part of the money that you send to your cable company.

Your question is too broad. A YES or NO answer would be meaningless.
