Hi Nip, You don't say anywhere whether it's trusted or restricted. Given the type of script, I guessed correctly on trusted and ran it. It hangs up at preset shape...apparently I'm missing the one you used? In reading the script, it doesn't say exactly which one it is, so could you please share that info and I'll see if I have it and load it?? :) Also, edited the script and it will now work in all (script-using) versions (up till that preset shape part, lol). You do get a pop-up when you first start saying "version unable to be determined" or something to that effect, but if you click ok it will proceed. Here's where I stop: (this was done in v. 9) As soon as I know what shape I'm missing, I'll give it another try on both versions, then post the image & the edited script, if ya want! xoxo ~ Kirsten |

deesap, What I was told is that scripts placed in a trusted folder can allow them to interact with other programs on your computer, restricted will run in the PSP only what I do is with alot of mine I have them on my desktop, unless it tells me to place it in the folder now, if there are patterns or brushes then they have to be installed in the right folders for a script to work nip |

No, Deesap, you couldn't/wouldn't. Some scripts won't work from one or the other folder, depending on the actions they take. A basic rule of thumb is, restricted scripts don't/can't open or close files. For instance, I've created a script that resizes scrap papers. I drag a group and drop them into my open PSP window, run the script and it resizes them all, sharpens them, saves them and closes them. No further effort from me...saves LOTS of time! Because it saves & closes the file, it will not run from the restricted folder. So I suppose, you technically could put everything into the trusted folder, now that I think about it, but it's probably safer not to. I'd have to do a bit more research to be completely accurate about this. Many (most?) script creators will post a notice on their page and/or in their TOU about where the script should be placed. Here's a very thorough/basic/beginning article about using scripts: Hope this helps! :) xoxo ~ Kirsten |
