Hi Nip, We are having a very sticky and warm day where I am. The temp is s'posed to get to 28 Celcius here but it has already passed that. We are more like 3o+ which equates to about 80 F.
Dennis has just ducked into town to collect some Drs scripts and then off to the chemist to get them filled.
Tell me something Nip, we are going to have the US elections televised here tomorrow from 10am and I am just wondering, do they televise over there, our elections? I think I already know the answer but I would like to confirm my idea! I reckon our election is not televised in the US.
Who do you think will win? I reckon Obama will get it this year. If he does it will be a very historic day.
I am also curious, why on Gods earth do the candidates need 2 years to campaign. Don't you get so sick of hearing the political speeches with all the BS promises that politicians are notorius for? I realise there are a lot more people in the US but do they really NEED 2 years?
We have 3 weeks on the hustings [campaign trail]and that is enough. The last 24 hours before our election there is a blanket ban on political speeches and advertising because they figure we have already made our decisions and last minute campaiging will not sway us.
It is cumpulsory for us to vote also, unlike over your way. You have the choice to vote or not, we don't.
