I have had a great day today as it turned out , for those of you who don't know today is our historic Melbourne Cup Day ( Horse Race ) it is run every year on the first Tuesday of November at 3.00pm and our nation comes to a stand still just to watch this race , it only lasts for about 3 minutes , anyhoo i am not a betting person but this is the one time of the year that i have a punt and i only lay out about $20.00 but alas each year i do not fair well , well not this year i cleaned up in Melbourne Cup today. I am so wrapped it couldn't have come at a better time , with xmas just around the corner I will be picking up $800.00 , i am just so stoked .... My kids will have a great Christmas this year ..... This money will allow me to sit back and take a sigh of relief .... I hope some of our other Aussie's in this group , had a win also ..... Hugs Cheeki |

Thankyou ladies , being a single mum of 2 can at times be a real struggle , emotionally and financially so winning this money really helps me to relax some over the christmas period ......Hugs Cheeki |

Cheeki, I know what you mean, last november my Hubby's Job shut down and we was not able to have christmas that was the first year that my boys didn't have christmas, I know they are grown and they understood, but my heart was broken, I am hoping that this year is a little better, Nip |
