I am stepping back in my time..

Basically I have been working as ya know at Coop till 5pm..then shooting off to Adult Placement training (yes I know i was adult placemnt carer and got all da certifictaes for a small care home..but I was away from it 2.5 years and that means I went 12 months over my allowed "time  out of registration"

well those in chat will know ..just lately I have been running back and forth to Thela my ex-client I had for 23yars.

She ha shad a lot of unbalanced monments since I quit the care home and she moved on to 3 or 4 places..unsettled and having big arguments at each ne wplacement.

Last month I got a distressed call from her saying she had run off with a man!!I was there like a shot to check she was ok..phoned social services who sed..they were aware but it wa sbasically clients-freedom-of-choice to move in with a man..they had no power to stop her.

Well that last all of 3 weeks and Thela was placed back in social services care after the man threatened to hit Thela.

Now they are at a loss as to what to do.

I have offerred to have Thela here for the weekend..cos I dont work..and see how thla gets on here.

If it works out..I am going to be offering her a home again back with me.It wont be easy at first because she has sufferred mental problems since leaving me 2.5 years ago and also he rhubby died just before I closed the care home..

i feel it was all too much for her and i went at the very wrong time.

I am still having to complete the adult placement course (another 5 weeks to go) before they can take me to panel to see if i can have Thela back) cos it has to go through the right channels.

So there ya go..this is all a busy hectic time for me cos I finish work at 5pm and have courses 6-8 a few times a week..but who knows??

 

I feel I can take Thela back..and hopefully balance he rout again by getting into her previous day centre..and 3 evening clubs a week..all which were taken away from her when she moved from me.

Thela is 62 now ..she wa sonly 36 when I first got he rout of the big institution..and I dont want to se eher put back into an institution..I feel confident I can get her back to how she was again before she left me.
