Oh Meg how distressing this all must be for you. I can understand your anger and frustration at not being able to do anything more about it. Poor wee man, you entrusted him to their care and they failed. This all STINKS.....I would want to rip that woman's head clean off her shoulders. What more bliddy proof do they need? Wee man had those broken bones and internal injuries whilst in their care. These injuries just did not happen. Somebody should be held responsible and brought to account. Oh Meg I really feel for you. Our pets are our babies, part of the family. How does this woman think giving you another dog can in anyway compensate for what happened to wee man  |

Oh Meg, I like Puppy says think this smells of usual cover up, sounds as if there was an accident and your wee dog got in the crossfire. Did that woman think you wanted any dog that Wee Man was not special to you, oh these people who do not understand what a pet means not a pet a member of family. I feel like Puppy and wish I could have said something to that woman and as Penny and Puppy will tell you I would not have controlled myself as well as you did, My toungue gets me in trouble a lot. Meg im crying here reading this,, these people are supposed to be animal lovers,, you trusted them to look after your wee beloved dog, and like Selkie and Puppy have said,, i cannot believe that they had the nerve to offer you another dog,,, as if that was going to make up for the heartache you are going through, i cant understand why the sspca are not investigating these kennels,, as its looks very suspicious to me, and some other wee dog might get hurt,, if the kennels are innocent they would welcome the sspca to investigate them ,, god Meg you must be so angry. |

Meg was the wee dog registered with the kennel club ? i wonder if he was,,, maybee giving them a ring,, they might be able to advise you more,,, it cant hurt to try can it?,, im here googling away trying to find out any information for you. |

Meg did you ever tell the Police? You left your dog in the care of these kennels and they did niot honiur that comtract, Sirry for sounding so calous but that is the case for Police. A lawyer might help.these kennels need tp be closed downinless they can give irrivocable( spelling is bad) proof that your Wee Man harmed himself now I know greyhounds before I came here My Dad used to take me to watch them such a beautiful rather like Horses when runing. Meg you take every step you can even papers the kennels will not like that. Be sure you tell of their offer to give you another dog as if that would solve it. Hugs Selkie. |

Sorry Meg I have just read your first post again. Please report this to Police this just does not happen ask them to look into it as no one else seems to give you information. Dogs left in care of Kennels should not be out cavorting with all other types of dog. Hugs.Selkie |

Meg, I'm sad to hear that no-one is acting upon your suspicions because it sounds as though the kennels has something to hide. If it had been a genuine accident, any decent kennels would have been only too keen to give you all of the information. Sounds like they salving their own conscience by offering you another dog. Just goes to show how little they understand about owners & their pets tho doesn't it, cos wee man wasn't just any old dog to you. It makes me so angry at the injustice of it, have you thought about giving your story to the local newspaper or maybe seeing if you can have a quiet word with one of the kennel maids in confidence. Meg, it made me so upset for you when I read your message about poor wee man, and Flan has just said the exact words I was going to write. A decent kennels, no matter how badly it may reflect on their business, would have been only too happy to tell you everything. It is the only decent thing to do, no matter how angry your reaction, you would have been aware of the truth. This cover up only creates more stress, anger and determination to dig away until the truth comes out. The papers would print a story like this. Threaten them with this unless they tell you exactly what happened. Good luck Meg, thinking of you and Wee man xxx |

just read this thread and I am soooo sorry about your Wee Man because you know I share the love of all animals with you and lots ofr friends here.
What really stood out to me wqas that the woman treated your complaint like someone returning a commodity that hadnt come up to spec.. like an eletrical appliance that was faulty!
Ok she seemed to ne saying.. this one no good but I tell you what I will replace ot with another!
She does not see dogs as live creatures..just a commodity. She should be stopped!
