Hello,
Just a note of why I have not been on line.
I finally got Electricity yesterday  after a week. I live on 5 acres and with a Well for water,at least have a large stone Fireplace feeding it Oak firewood to keep warm. Oil lamps to see with in the evening. We had 65 mile an hour winds and lost a few Oak trees. This is a small area North East of Sacramento. GolfCountry. There was 500 plus Power Polls down in just my area. 24,000 subscribers. Some are still without power.
You do not appreciate what you have till it is taken away.
Hope all is well with our HK fellow collectors.
Happiness to all the Matey's.
Jeanne

Hi Jeanne

We also have our own well here in Michigan.  But we have our own gas generator that holds 5 gallons of gas (so it will work for a good 8 to 10 hours before it runs out of gas).  We can pretty much hook up the essentials like the pump, fridge and tv when we lose our power.  We have ventless gas heaters too so we have heat when the power goes out.  Our natural gas is seperate from the electricity.  Sorry to hear about your situation of no power.  It's never fun that's for sure but having a generator sure makes it a lot more tolerable.

Bless you, Jeanne. We depend so much on the things that require power. I would absolutely go into withdrawal if I couldn't have my TV and computer for a week. I'd probably be heading for a motel with wireless computer access. Hate that you lost your oak trees. I'll bet they were beautiful. Winds like that are hurricane force winds and they cause so much damage. No damage to your home? If so, that's wonderful!! Stay safe and let us hear from you.

Hi Vanda& Joy,
Thank goodness the trees did not fall into my house although a few in the area did.
My sons came over late this afternoon and cut it up and cleared the road where I live. Nice big Oak tree too.  It will be good for burning next year.
Thanks all of your for being supportive and concerned. We have made some good friends with the HK collectors.
Ladybug hugs, Jeanne

Wow ! Glad you came through that storm okay ! Hey - we haven't heard from anyone up in the Northeast after that 20" of snow was dropped on Mass. yesterday!
Seems like the northern states clear across the country are taking a beating this year.

Hello, Miss Lady Bug!  Glad you survived your bad weather.  We've been having rain and tornadoes in the southeast.  Am looking forward to seeing you in Orlando.  Phyllis
