Harmony Kingdom collectors demonstrate the closeness our community has created with the shared joys and even sorrows. People have often times come together to assist others when there is a dire situation whether it be for one of us or our furry friends.
A number of you will remember Phyllis Quarles from the ICE shows and the Philadelphia convention. She always greeted you with a cheery smile and a great sense of humor. Phyllis is very ill. She is battling ovarian cancer and has been in the hospital for over a month due to complications of the disease and ongoing chemotherapy treatments.
Many people, touched by Phyllis's spirit of fun and generosity over the years, have asked what they can do for her. A number of people in our community are coming together to help the family with the mounting costs. Lisa Yashon and Noel Wiggins of Harmony Ball Company have donated some rare HK pieces for a raffle in Phyllis' behalf. Ann Schmidt of Fin-Alley Gifts is hosting the raffle.
If you would like to help, here is a great way that will also provide you a chance to win some amazing prizes. Other donors of note include Adam Binder Editions, Martin Perry Studios and Friends of David Lawrence.
Here are a few of the fabulous HK items you will see:
Back Scratch
Who'd A Thought
Shaggy Dog
and
Harmony Kingdom Book
"The 500 Club: Apr 05 -Mar 06"
Edition Size: 50
Lisa Yashon Says:
The book is a compilation of Peter's e-mails that were sent out monthly to members of the "500 Club". We printed 50 books, and we gave them as gifts to the 22 organizers of the 2006 Phoenix convention. We sent a few to Peter and also gave them as gifts to staff who work with HK.
Note: I can tell you that this is a book to cherish whether you were one of the 500 Club or not. The pictures are fabulous. Leanna
Each item will be raffled on its own. Raffle tickets for Back Scratch are $25 each. Tickets for all of the other HK items are $5 each. You can order the raffle tickets on-line or by phone at 800-876-5023 until Wednesday, April 9th. 100% of your donation will go to Phyllis.
You may also send a check made out directly to Phyllis Quarles. Just mail it to:

Phyllis' brother Neil, who is an attorney, will handle the funds for her while she remains in the hospital. Donations will be sent to him as quickly as possible so, if you are writing a check, it will not take long to clear.
All of the prizes will be displayed at the Harmony Kingdom event in Orlando where Fin-Alley will continue to sell tickets until the end of the Swap n' Sell on Saturday, April 12th when they will draw the winners.
