Hello all!

I have wonderful news! Robert King, the most popular Disney artist for HK, is coming to the convention. He will be joining us for the breakfast on Sunday.

He wants to meet collectors and sign pieces. He is also donating three special prototyes of HK Disney pieces that he carved as he is devoted to charity efforts, especially NAMI.

More details to follow!

Leanna

This is fantastic!  He has done a number of pieces ( 75 - I just looked him up on the website).  Among the pieces are:
A Pirate's Life For Me
Disney Princesses
Mickey Through The Years
Nightmare Before Christmas and my favorite
Nightmare Pumpkin King.
Can't wait for the particulars.
Kay

That's terrific news!

I know you have additional info coming soon... but can you tell us what the limit will be on pieces to bring to be signed?  We are pulling them and packing them for safe transport this week so we don't have to worry about them right before we travel!

:-)

Robert will be signing on Sunday from 10am to 12noon. You will be limited to 3 pieces per person as he will have a short time to sign for everyone.

A collector sent me a list of all of the pieces carved by Robert King. A number of these pieces will be in the Dollar Raffle and in the Raffle of a Lifetime thanks to a very generous donation of over 100 Disney figurines from Ray Harms. So you may not have Robert's work today, but who knows what you'll poccess by Sunday morning at the event.

Will there be a charity donation for this signing?  How will we determine the queue order?

Hi Kay,
Yes there will be a charity donation. I'm working out the details with Robert now. It looks like we will have an unpainted prototype in both the Dollar Raffle on Friday as well as another in the Live Auction on Sunday.
Working on the other details.

Robert King is donating three unpainted prototypes of HK Disney boxes. One will be used in the Dollar Raffle on Friday night and the other two will be in the Live Auction on Sunday morning.

The three boxes are:
Figment
Happy Haunts
Pirates of the Caribbean

These will be great additions to the event.

I received Robert King's donations last night. They are not unpainted prototypes. They are master molds that are grey and not resin.

These are very special donations for sure. The Figment box will go intot he dollar Raffle and the other two in the Live Auction.

Just in case you have never seen him, I thought that you would like to have a picture of Robert King.

How do we manage to get such good looking artists?
And best of all, he is a really nice guy.

Oh no, if Figment is going to be in the dollar raffle, I need to know how many tickets will be sold so I know whether I need to take out a second mortgage on my house so I can buy ALL of the tickets.  Figment is my "mascot" for groundwater modeling (because the answers tend to be a figment of someone's imagination) and I NEED him.  Maybe I'll just be a good pirate and fignap him!

Mike, since I don't have any Disney pieces to be signed, Mallory and I will be happy to stand in line with you and Dan to have at least 6 more signed for you.

Will have to go pull 6 more...

btw ---- I know you are helping us out here... but, now be honest here, the real reason is that you both want some 1-on-1 time with Mr King, eh?   hmmm ... I'm right arent I!  lol

Good looks don't hurt but Mike ... you know we are all about you and Dan, right?????  Hahahahaha.  Mallory might be interested in Mr. King but I'm at least old enough to be his mother,  UGH!  Pittiful, huh?  But I can still look can't I?  He-he.
