I havent been on the message board in awhile and I have been feeling like April was never gonna get here!!! Now with two weeks to go and getting my costume and diffrent things together I am getting more and more excited!!!! I got a call from my sister about a week ago talking about last minute details and we are both excited with so much going on all weekend who wouldnt be!!! I feel like the final countdown has finally begun!! I hope everyone is as excited as we are to finally get to Orlando and get things started!!!! See you guys soon!! -Dale |

GEtting excited! NAH! Just because Bob thinks that I am ready to launch myself from Texas to Orlando without even needing the airplane is no reason to think that I am excited. |

Mary and I are getting ready for the road trip to Orlando, we leave Dallas on April 6th. The trip is around 1,095 miles long. I am looking forward to returning to Florida, I lived there with my parents back in the early 60's during the Cuban crisis. I am not looking forward to getting in a swimsuit though, I am so pale from winter it is not funny. My legs are pasty white, but I need some sun after all the terrible weather we have had lately, to cold here to lay out in the sun yet. lol See all you Mateys when we get there. Vickie |

Had a thought that might be of use to fellow travellers. I will be packing all my clothes and other stuff going in my suitcase in cardboard boxes so that I have a ready supply of cartons to ship my goodies and other stuff home. Also, a roll of tape although the hotel will probably have this available as all the other hotels I have stayed at seemed happy to help in this regard. Hope this helps Hannah |

Hannah, I will be mailing boxes filled with bubble wrap, wrapping tissue, mailing tape, scissors, scotch tape, & marking pens + I have 4 flattened unopened new U-Haul boxes (sturdy) that I am shipping just taped altogether as 1 item (box size 16 5/8" x 12 3/8" x 12 3/8"). Not too small but not too large. I think that covers everything. There is more than enough for me & more than evough for you. I will be glad to share with you & let you have whatever you need. It is such a long way for you to bring packing stuff, & the hotel will charge way too much for it. It is so easy for me to include extra. It is always such a pleasure to have you come all the way from England to be with us. We all enjoy your company so much. Looking forward to Orlando. Jane |

Jane, thanks for the offer and I may just have to take you up on it as I have had my first attempt at packing and although I have tried to mix and match and pare everything down to essentials; I know a pirate costume is not everyone's idea of an essential but it has to go in... I may be forced into two cases in the hold as well as my hand luggage. The big problem then is, if I need this amount of stuff going out whatever is going to happen on the way back. Hannah, I will look forward to your taking me up on the offer. I know that packing for overseas can make for some very creative solutions so it is a joy to help out & make it easier for you when the end result is having you at the event. Hi,, SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA. I AM DOING THE SAME THING, BUT HAD A THOUGHT TO USE THE FLAT RATE BOX PRIORITY MAIL., YOU CAN PUT UP TO 70 POUNDS IN IT AND IT HAS A FLAT RATE OF $9.00. YOU CAN PICK THEM UP AT THE POST OFFICE FOR NOTHING. THIS IS THE BOXES THEY USE TO SHIP GOODIES TO THE TROOPS. HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL TO ALL MY PIRATE FRIENDS.
