Hi All

Home in my own nest now.  I realized after the closing on sunday that I missed who won the Paint Your Contest.  If someone can post who the winner is I'd would really appreciate it.

What a wonderful time I had at the covention.  The committee and the volunteers made this a wonderful event.  Good job to you all and I'm looking forward to Rhode Island in 2009.  Again... wonderful job, wonderful event pieces and a delightful time shmoozing with all the HK people.

Joy

They haven't announced it yet.  I think Leanna was going to post it here after she and the HOP got settled in after working so hard.

HI All

Another question for the committee:  When will the cookbooks be mailed?  I'm looking forward to having mine in my hot little hands.  It is beautiful and i've got 3 coming.  Also... did all of them sell out?  I was just curious about that.

Hello everyone...Am still in Florida with our friends Shelley & John who also attended the event with us. I am attaching two pictures to ask if anyone else ended up this "odd" piece as Shelley & John did? In their Jest II they have a gray cat instead of a Panda and I didn't hear that was a mold variation. It appears to be a perfectly formed cat ! The cat is colored liked the Panda and does fit into the hole under the lid. Very strange!! Do they have one of a kind? Anyway if anyone knows I would appreciate an answer and I will forward it to Shelley.....Thanks SAM....

Hello Sam,
I noticed the Dead Man's Chest II, Is suppose to be a CAT? but it is in a standing on all 4 legs with long foppy ears...sure looks like a dog to me. Tha pada looks like a panda on my two pieces. The Dead Man's Chest with shark is deffinetly a cat on its back.
Let me know.
I sure had a good time although still tired from the plane trip home. One of my suite cases went on to Seattle so they dilivered it Tuesday afternoon.
( I landed in Sacramento)
Thanks all for the fun and friendship.
Take care and keep in touch.

Hello Sam,
Dead Man's Jest II is the chest without the shark as is pictured in your photo. This chest should have a standing "Shaggy Dog" and a supine "Panda". Looks like one of the "Backscratch" figurines that are in Dead Man's Jest and should be colored brown ended up in your Dead Man's Jest II and was colored black and white like the Panda. I have no idea if this was a one time occurrence but it is a difference, for sure. Hopefully we will hear from Leanna or someone who would be more of an expert than I.

On Shelley & Johns Dead Man's Jest II there is no gray Panda lying on its back but a cat (Backscratch) but he is painted gray like the Panda( I did include pictures in previous message) I think the painters grabbed Backscratch instead of the Panda & painted him gray for Version II by mistake.. I was wondering if anyone else had this happen... I think they have a unique piece...SAM
