Hello all,

I hope that you are all safely home now. For 7 seven days after the event, I enjoyed the offerings of Orlando and Disney with my daughter and grandchildren. The pace was only much the same as the event was for me without any access to the Internet or email from our timeshare. However I did brave the Tower of Terror with the kids since my daughter was not up to the challenge.

By all of the pressure and activity of the last two weeks took their toll and knocked me flat for the last few days. I finally got to the Internet last night and started wading through mounds of emails. Now I am trying to help finish up some things here in Florida so Janice Cothern doesn't have a ton of stuff still to do. I hope to get back to Atlanta early next week. After all I only had three weeks of unpacking in my Atlanta home before coming to Florida in March.

Some of you have heard from Pat Steven, so you know she is back online. Johnia Browning is also back home and online after her week with her family in Orlando as well. If there are items that we need to follow-up, we will be busy trying to get things wrapped up.

I believe that almost everyone elso is home too. Pete and his family are returning to England tomorrow and have enjoyed an amazing experience here these last two weeks.

Thank you for all of your support of those who worked so diligently to make it a fun event. The committee is proud of the jobs they did.

Harmoniously yours,
Leanna

Hi Leanna,

Glad you had such a great time after the convention. You certainly deserved it.

This was our 1st HK convention and we had such a blast. Thanks for all your effort and everyone else who hlped (especially Anita).

Unfortunately right after the convention ended my husband (who rarely gets sick) came down with a stomach virus. So he wasn't able to have as much fun as I did with the remaining days of our vacation.

I do have a couple of questions: Just by the way things worked out, I ended up joining 3 chapters. But I have no idea which chapters I joined. I know that one was in Texas. As you entered the room they were at the back wall.

The second one I joined said you wrote a fantastic newsletter for them. (I thought you belonged to that club.) They were in the middle row of "swap & shop". The woman was slender with short light brown hair.

Then you brought me to your chapter, which I thought was called "Tristate". But the paper says it's called "Atlantic Kingdom Addicts". I made a check out to join them, but now I'm not sure I'd be joining the correct chapter. (I feel really confused about this)

I want to belong to your chapter, which I thought was sponsoring the 2009 HK convention.

Also, I have not heard from the other two chapters I joined. I would like to know what I've joined. I have not heard from them, but perhaps they're still recovering from the convention, too.

At any rate could you help me figure out which two chapters I joined, so I can contact them? (I've also decided to buy the mouse that was made for the chapters.)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ellie,

I can help with the Texas group.

Lone Star Harmony is the HK name.  We are based out of Dallas, TX.

Vicki Burnett is our membership chairperson.  She & her daughter Mary manned the table on Friday at HK.  Her board name is "vburne" & her e-mail is [email protected]

I will give her an e-mail & ask her to get in touch with you.

Ellie,
The AKA and the Tristate are independent clubs that were situated against the back wall.of the ballroom. AKA is the club up in Rhode Island where the 2009 event is schuduled and they had the red thread mouse. The Tristate is the independant club that Leanna has always written wonderful news letter for and they had a green thread mouse. Hope this helps.

Orange (51/5) - Southern Harmony

The second club that you joined was probably Southern Harmony. We were in the middle aisle and Leanna is our Newsletter Editor. I am Vanda Kight and I am the president of Southern Harmony. You can contact me at [email protected] Did you buy one of the Orange Forever Tied pieces from us? Did you get to buy one of the Ole Rip pieces that we had?
Welcome!!
Vanda

OK, now I'm confused again:I don't know which 3rd chapter I joined. Either it's TriState or Southern Harmony. I paid in cash with no receipt. I just put my name & address on a sheet of paper for people who joined during the convention.

So now the question is who has me registered with their club: TriState or Southern Harmony? PLEASE let me know.

To answer your question, Vanda: I did not buy "Forever Tied" from any of the 3 chapters I joined, but I am looking to buy one now. And I have no idea what piece is called "Ole Rip"?

Thanks.

HI Leanna

I was wondering when the cook books would be mailed out.  Also, what was our total contribution for charity?  Again, great job on all the convention activities.  Looking forward to Rhode Island.

Joy
