OK - please everyone who used or visited the test burrow at Wet Paint give your opinion here.  What did you like, what didn't you like?  What was easy and what was difficult or obscure?

The wet paint site was pretty easy for me to use, but I had a hard time finding different threads at first, but I am not so great at puter stuff. Overall I liked the site ok and it's going to be a tough choice.

Yo

I can live with either one.  I was concerned about the privacy on both sites but I guess wherever we go we'll have to have a sentry posted until we all settle down.

Wetpaint seems a little bit more like this burrow than forumcircle.  How would we do the "historical threads" on these sites?  Or should we just bury the past and look forward?

I liked Wet paint the best for what seems like ease of use... it seems like it is alot like this burrow ... I am not literate in building pages and the such but feel like my quirkie friends will help me no matter where we settle...so I will go with the vote...but i liked wetpaint the best

I am concerned about the security of the site. We don't want spammers to get into our burrow. On MMF, it is not a secure site and Racing Ferret has had to deal with spammers posting stuff that was very
inappropriate!

Wetpaint is ok, but can we post pictures other than avatars?

The biggest con here is the 2k limit on posts.  Twice I had to separate my answers from the scores. And the laterst CR story here, the Christmas poem, is 3k!  (I just now measured it.)  And it is smaller than the CR stories.

Re: the privacy issue - both sites are all-or-nothing (unlike here, which has an in-between.   To keep out intruders we would have to make either site Private.

Yes, Sophie, you can have a photo gallery.   I like that, but the 2k limit is unacceptable for me.

It's nice we can make photo gallery, but how about if we want to post a picture a long with a post? For instance I made the "Time to decorate thread" in this burrow and people posted pictures along with their comments.
Can we do this on wetpaint?

I haven't had enough time here to figure out how to do stuff. I can't do html there to change the font etc., and I haven't figured out how to post a pic in my post. Those are my 2 cons. The pros are it's super easy to navigate, I like the layout. Also, when playing jeopardy, you don't see the others answers unless you click on the thread.

I'm worried about spammers as well, but aren't we a private group here?

The posting limit is concerning as well, because some of the update posts about Ned I'm sure are longer than 2k and I really like the updates. And Commando Reggie!

If we need to choose between the 2 right now, I need more time. Both work great for Jeop, but what about other stuff? I like Wetpaint's format a little more, but can we all do what we need to do there?

Pro:
Can create pages for archives instead of individual post.
Can make a photo album
Can put pictures up without a photo sharing site (not sure if we can in posts)

Con:
Anyone can join without permission
Can't edit post (Though that would guarantee that there is no cheating when newbies join)
Post size limit

As for Spammers, I cant guarantee that they won't appear but I can say that none have appeared at my Linklu Role Play Information Wetpaint Site yet...Say that title 3 times fast, lol
