There is also another one that I have been seeing and this one also is targeted to grab your attention that you would not suspect. We all from time to time get the Mailer-Daemon error reporting email when we inadvertantly send email to an address that is no longer working for whatever reason. However, this virus is atttached to a link inside that email reporting error with a supposed "patch" to this problem. Well this is a "hoax" patch. The patch carries the virus.
You will NEVER receive a Mailer Daemon error report with this supposed fix inside of it. DO NOT click this link. This email has been showing up in my junk mail folder, that is clue number one, Clue number two is that it is not attached to an email that I have sent with the address that is no longer valid. Clue number 3, it has a supposed "patch" in it!
All of these clues are good ones to indicate that you should immediately throw the email away. Also, I used to use an email client that downloaded all my email to my computer and I read it at my leisure offline. I have for a long time now chosen to not do that and instead began leaving my email on my online server and reading it there, any email that I wanted to save for my personal use I will then download manually to my email client on my computer after it is screened and scanned. This has, many times saved me a lot of heartaches. This is just a suggestion, but has saved me many times from downloading potential virus'.
