When my son was four, I was helping a lady from our
church, because her husband had tried to kill her. She
did not have anywhere to live, while she waited for
her family to sent her money to go back home. I also
had two step children, one was 8 and the other 9.
The children was playing cop and robbers and
having so much fun in the den, that all I heard was lots
of laughter, until I heard a gun shot! I started praying
that I had heard wrong, we had no gun in our home.
When I got to the den, my four year old was standing
in the middle of the room in shock and there was a huge
hole in the wall, just a couple of inches from his head.
My eight year old was standing about three feet in front of
him, white as a sheet!! A gun was laying on the floor, I
picked it up and asked them, where did the gun came
from, my eight year old said, "I got it from Cathy's room,
I thought it was a toy gun mommy!!!
Kathy, the lady that I was helping, had the gun under
her pillow, in case her husband showed up!
I feel so blessed that his angels were there with us
that day, because my son did not even had a scratch
on him and the wall was proof that he could have being
hurt bad or killed that day. Thank you God.
