To quote Devo, same as it ever was, same as it ever was, same as it ever was...
What has happened is that now we are more aware. People have been wrongfully imprioned since the beginning of time, this is nothing new.
What is new is that we have TV and the Internet which make us aware of this in a rapid fire manner and we have lawyers involved in the Innocence Project whom work some times pro bono to free the wrongly imprisoned.
Child abduction, again old story, you have had children abducted through-out hisotry some times for slavery, including sex slaves, parents abducting children from one and other, military origanization abducting children to fight in a war.
Again all that has changed is that we now are more aware because of the way we learn of this.
The U.S. Government and Terrorism.
The U.S. Government being at war with the world is in part due to the action of Terrorists. we are doing what the Israelis and Irish and Germans and countless other countries have done when attacted by terrorists.
We strike back because if we don't we come across as cowards and encourage the Terrorists to strike again.
The terrorists feel that they can get away with it because their actions cause division among the people of the country they attact, therefore discent settles in and the people turn against each other allowing the terrorists to win.
Boy!! What is our WORLD coming to? People imprisoned wrongfully, children being abducted, the US gov't at war with the world, terrorists bombing the heck out of any place they like just because they CAN & get away with it!
Is it just me or is it getting WORSE?!
How do we turn this around? How do we stop the bad guys?
Well we could all end up being vigilanties and strike out against the terrorists using their own methods but that makes us no better than them.
Or we could follow scripture and instead of hitting them with a big stick we could turn the other cheek and do unto others.
This means we do not allow fear to control us, which has been integrated into us since we were children, by our parents, religious leaders, teachers and as adults bosses or spouses.
We must remain calm and at peace allow the water to move around us but not be moved by the water.
To celebrate our differences we must overcome the programming that differences are dangerous and show others to be less than human.
My own heratige is an example.
I am part Massadonian and part Greek in my heratige. The Greeks see the Massadonians as less than human they do not have the right to walk in the shadow of a Greek.
The Massadonians see themselves on the otherhand as Greek just with a different view of their Greekness.
When you can have a Greek and Massadonian sit down and share coffee and Kalamari then you will be on the road to shared differences.
To achieve this we have to overcome fear again and listen with our hearts.
You must start with yourself, you must not allow yourself to be mad for being mad reflects back into fear and fear clouds you from achieving what you desire.

HOW can we stop this insanity? I want to know. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO sick & tired of the "bad guys" getting their own way - isn't it time that the rest of us, who enjoy living in peace, with tolerance, patience and understanding - have OUR own way? Why is it that the world needs to live in FEAR? Why can't we all get along & celebrate our differences? It makes me SOOOOOOOOO MAD!!
Does anyone have any answers, thoughts, ideas???
