Really enoyed your message about the "Orb Spider". One of these showed up in a corner (outside) our bedroom window about six weeks ago. This was very interesting as I had drawn 'Spider" in a card spread the week before.
Grandmother Spider is on my frame drum, so I am particular fond of any information about these facinating insects.=, aside from what I have already found out about them from Ted Andrewes "Animal Speak" and other friends.
As he/she(?) had spun the web in absolutely the most unlikely spot to catch anything, I have been throwing semi conscious flys, bugs, etc. about once every three days into the web. Everyone who visits is in awe of how Spider quickly stuns, than wraps up the prey to haul up into a corner.
Spider has grown considerably over the past weeks and now appears to be in hibernation - has taken down the web and is just sitting there. As we are in North Eastern Ontario it will be getting quite cold very soon. Anyone who can clue me in to what they usually do in the winter would be appreciated.
So great to hear how your hubby has responded ...so many people have horror stories about spiders and for many, it is very scary even to have one anywhere near them.
