Two Trees

 

I made a visit to the lovely mountains I find such peace within and am
able
to meditate, relax, receive guidance, and inspiration, answers, and the
such
I had been sitting in a small grassy area where I have often watched
the
deer family graze without disturbing them. I heard some noise and
looked
around to see what it was. Two trees standing alone on the top of the
mountain caught my immediate attention. I sat there watching,
observing, and
listening to the sounds. Then I asked them....
"What is your purpose in this world?"
The first tree answered me....
"I will be the Standing One to grow as tall as I can, reaching for the
skies
I will gift many with my beauty to be looked upon with admiration. Many
will respect and honor me for I will gift to them much wisdom."
The second tree answered me....
" I too, shall also grow to reach for the skies, but, I will be the
Standing
One to gift myself to the People, being created for many needed things.
I
will be a beauty created to use and be admired and respected for many
generations beyond my time lived upon Mother Earth."
Then they both spoke in harmony and balance to me....

"May man, woman, and child accept our gifts with honor and respect,
passing
down through all their generations our gifts bestowed upon them."
I know the Standing People were smiling as I walked away and down the
mountain, knowing I understood and would pass this message on to
others...
Remembering their words, their gifts for a lifetime and beyond.
