Try this floral arrangement for a long lasting bouquet:
| - Fill a large pitcher or vase with water. Add fern, as greenery. Cut all your flower stems and place the tallest ones in pitcher first. Add 1 tsp. of suger to water.
- Add the rest of the tall flowers. (Try glads, phlox, larkspur or delphiniums.)
- Add your fillers last. (astilbe, statice, and roses make nice fillers) Your initial bouquet will stay fresh for about 3 or 4 days.
- Recut stems and remove wilted flowers afer 3 - 4 days. Place the remaining flowers in a smaller container. This arrangement should be good for another 3 or 4 days.
- Repeat the process one last time, throwing away wilted flowers and moving the rest to a smaller container or adding more statice, babies breath or bachelor buttons (as needed) to your bouquet each time you rearrange
