Can a Cream Dissolve Cellulite?

Shhh, whisper it, but we’ve just found out about the secret cream used by Victoria Beckham, Uma Thurman, Kylie and Sharon Stone to keep their legs looking cellulite-free. And we can tell you that it actually works at reducing the appearance.

Remember Renee Zellweger in that bunny outfit when she starred in Bridget Jones? Well our source tells us she used this cream set too while she was piling on the pounds for the role, because she wanted curves, oh yes, but cellulite? Nonono.

If, like us, you’ve round yourself wondering why even the strictest of diet and exercise regimes can have little bearing on cellulite, or why some of the teensiest models and actresses can still be affected by the demon orange peel, despite being a size 0, wonder no more. “It’s because the laying down of fat in the hypodermis, where cellulite sits, is affected by hormones, rather diet and exercise,?explains Julie Cichocki, Global Treatment Developer for Karin Herzog.

Now we’re not saying that a healthy diet and lashings of water, combined with a regular exercise regime, won’t help to keep cellulite levels down. But sometimes a girl just needs a little extra help. Enter Karin Herzog’s Silhouette and Tonus B12.

So what’s in the magic formula? Here’s how it works:

Silhouette contains four per cent oxygen and is designed to penetrate the areas of the body where the skin is uneven - and where fatty deposits are at their most dense.

“Oxygen is what the body uses naturally to detox, since oxygen is antiseptic, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory,?explains Julie. “When we are young and our oxygen levels are healthily high, we have beautiful clear skin, the capillaries are working fine and the cells are re-dividing and multiplying, creating new vibrant skin.

“But as we age our oxygen levels naturally decline. Smoking, stress, pollution, alcohol, medication, lack of sleep and excess weather conditions increase the speed and severity of that decline. And how many of us can avoid all of these? Is it any wonder we get skin problems??

Karin Herzog’s Silhouette and Tonus B12 body creams claim to significantly reduce the circumference of the thighs and buttocks when used in conjunction regularly. And since more than 90 per cent of clients regularly re-order this product, we became curious.

A light emulsion, the Silhouette cream hydrates and protects the skin's surface, while working to disperse adipose tissue in the deeper layers by forcing oxygen gas deep into the skin, blasting away toxins which can cause that uneven and bumpy effect.

Designed to firm and tighten, by increasing circulation and improving the skin’s natural repairing and regenerative properties, Silhouette also contains a strong antiseptic to kill bacteria and detox.

Sounds too good to be true? Not according to Kate Walker, (pictured above) a 22-year-old nurse from Blakedown, Worcs, who tried the cream for one month for the Daily Mail: “My skin felt silky after one day, and a week later my thighs felt firmer and looked smoother,?said Kate.
“By the second week, my skin was less mottled and brighter. By the end of the month, I could barely feel any bumps or lumps. I'm so pleased that I'm going to keep using the products - and for once I won't feel self-conscious baring my thighs on the beach.?/DIV>

Well, that was about all the convincing we needed. Having been someone who’s suffered from the dreaded c-word since the age of 15, despite walking up to eight miles a day to and from work, I ordered myself a batch of these magic creams instantly.

“It’s possible to experience a slight tingling sensation at first, due to the pressure of four per cent oxygen in the cream, but this subsides within a few days,?warned Julie.

That indeed proved true, though while some users have reported a ‘stinging nettle?sensation, I have to say it wasn’t as strong or painful as that for me, more like a mild ‘heated?feeling.
After applying the Silhouette, the Tonus B12, which contains vitamin B12 and organic green tea, along with sesame, avocado, jojoba and jasmine, is applied.

Vitamin B12 is the major vitamin responsible for the digestion of food and is crucial in helping the body to convert carbohydrates and fats into energy, while green tea is high in polyphenols and is a super powerful anti-oxidant. It’s widely believed green tea can help reduce cholesterol levels, increase the metabolism, raise natural energy levels and have anti-ageing effects.

Well I’ve been using this Detox in a Box pair for more than one month now and I can honestly say my skin is starting to feel smoother and look more toned. And since I haven’t felt good in a bikini since I was about 17, it's nice to have a little extra confidence when going to the beach this summer!
