Hello again, I had a good day on plan yesterday and had four points left over. Hope I can keep it up.
So happy for you, Beth, that everything turned out okay, you just need that thyroid sorting now and once you get the proper medication it will make a great difference. A friend of mine (also called Joan) had the same trouble.
Carole I'll be thinking of you today, hope everything goes well and the results are helpful on Thursday.
Anyone else who is not feeling too good, I hope you are well very soon. I feel better than I have for a long time. I was getting so depressed with everything that I was even tempted to give up on the computer. I'm still getting unwanted sites popping but I haven't had any disgusting pictures since I came back and I usually get them whenever I use Internet Explorer which isn't very often now for obvious reasons.
Last Thursday was our last day of our holiday and it bucketed it down with rain! We went to Poole, where the driver said he would be driving straight through. Someone near the front must have reminded him that Poole was one of the places we were supposed to visit so he agreeed to stay for 3/4 hour! Not much time to do much, we got a coffee (naturally) but didn't have time to get to the shops or anywhere. There is a pottery but we have been twice before so Brian didn't want to go in.
We went on to Weymouth and he told us we had 2.5 hours! Far too long on such a day, we don't usually have longer than two hours. We wandered around a bit but visited two cafes in the time. My hair was wet through and felt like rat's tails though one of our company said it looked alright. The second café we went in we had a table in the window looking out to sea and along the prom so that was nice - if only the rain would stop! It was very cold and windy as we sat in a bus shelter waiting for the coach to come for us. On our way out the driver had been driving slowly by all the millionaire's places - he seemed obsessed with money and was going on about how much the footballers had who lived there.
That night it was a gala dinner with nearly everyone wearing red and black (there's always a few that won't join in the fun). We had chicken in mushroom sauce as our main dish that night and it was delicious. I had rice pudding and jam to follow and that was nice too. Brian had chocolate gateau, something he only ever eats on hoiliday and then not often.
Well I'd better get ready for going out, I had a good night's sleep last night after being awake most of the night before with Brian's cough. He'd even knocked his drink over on his bedside table.
See you all later, have a good day, and don't forget to smile,
love
Joan
You've seen my Saturn now for the Moon! I made the moon first then used it to make the tag. By the light of the silvery moon would have been appropriate as well for this one, lol.
