Hello all! No-one told me that a new broom sweeps clean but did you know that the rest of the quotation is "but the old brush knows the corners". This part is rarely used.
I enjoyed our chat last night Carole, we'll have to talk about the site next time as we hardly touched on it, lol.
Did you hear about the man who went to the doctor's with a rash on his private parts? The doctor asked him how often he has sex. 'Twice a year' said the man. 'That's not a rash,' said the doctor, 'that's rust!'
I had a better day with MSN yesterday, I actually got a few more games played before being shut out.
I answered the door to a lady yesterday and she asked me if I could take a huge arrangement in for Gemma who lives next door but one. She is nineteen and a second-year nurse in the Navy at Birmingham. When she came round I asked her what the special occasion is but she said she didn't know. I know her birthday was earlier in the year and she says she hasn't got engaged or anything but someone thinks a lot of her and she didn't find a card while here. We used to look after her and her younger brother when they were younger for a couple of hours a day between her mum going to work and her dad coming home at six but they often stayed until half seven as they loved being at our house. I taught them both X-stitch and did other things with them. Sadly, Leslie, their mum, has MS but most days she seems quite well and still works at Tescos but she is on flexitime so if she has a bad day and has to stay in bed she can make her time up when she's having a good day.
Well, I'll have to get on, I've a few things to get together to take my friend, Pauline, she gets my magazine, books and VHS tapes for her mother's OP home and nature ones for the home for children with Down's etc that her sister works at. When I get freebies of cosmetics and such I give them to Pauline for her DGD, Amber. I once gave her a lovely Amami bag, like a small vanity case, that I had got with an order from Boots online. Amber takes it on holiday with her.
See you later, have a good day! Rain is forecast so you'll need that smile,
love
Joan
Sorry this is so big, my setting on Photobucket went haywire
