Well, another frustrating day in the net, I had to keep giving up and reading my book as I couldn't do anything on here. Then I'd get itchy fingers to get back and try again for a while. It is definitely later on in the day from about lunchtime that things start going wrong. That wil be when our nearest US friends are waking up and showing an interest. I did read in a morning paper that more and more people are buying Christmas presents on line to save traipsing round the shops in the cold weather. I hope we don't have to wait until everyone has done their Christmas Shopping.
You got the saying yesterday but it was an easy one. Neither a borrow nor a lender be was one of my dear step-father's favourite sayings. Thanks to his advice and that of my FIL who didn't believe in HP, even in the hardest times when Brian had two years off work sick, we have never got into debt. Our bills always got paid before anything else and you wouldn't believe the cheap meals I managed to dish up, dumplings and yorks puds can be added to any meal and can be very filling, lol. We certainly got our five a day veggies but not much meat between the seven of us, lol. Yet our children think they had a wonderful childhood to listen to them.
No Breakfast Club for us this morning as Brian has to be at doctor's at nine. I hope something can be done as I took a mild sleeping pill last night and was still kept awake by coughing and wheezing. Doc once offered to put Brian down, I wonder if the offer is still open? Only joking.
Have a good day, smile at those you see on your travels, and try to have some fun - that's the best medicine for ails. I hope those of you that have been under the weather are on the mend now,
love to you all,
Joan
