I'm surprised no-one knew that "A leopard cannot change his spots"!  I thought it was a very easy one.
I don't know what bug Brian and I got yesterday but I was up at 7.15 Brian at 8.00 and Brian was back in bed by 10 and me by 11, both feeling grotty.  We got up at one but were in bed by 7 last night.  Can't believe how much time we spent in bed but the bug does seem to have passed and we both feel a lot better this morning.  I noticed B didn't cough so much last night so his steroids must be working.
Well all Sites seem very quiet and Carole and I must have visited a hundred in the last few weeks.  Sometimes when we thin we've found somewhere promising we both bring the site up then we flicking over it telling each other what we've found.  It can be fun although it can also be frustrating, lol.

AN IRISH DAUGHTER RETURNS
An Irish daughter had not been to the house for  over 5 years. Upon her
return, her father cussed her;  " Where  have you been all this time, you
ingrate!  Why didn't you write  us, not even a line to let us know how you
were doing?  Why didn't  you call?  You little tramp!
Don't you know what you put  your Mum through??!!"

The girl, crying, replied,
"Sniff,  sniff... Dad... I became a prostitute..."

"WHAT!!? Out of here, you  shameless harlot!  Sinner!  You're a disgrace to
this family  - I don't ever want to see you again!"

"OK, Dad - as you wish. I  just came back to give Mom this luxury fur coat,
title deeds to a ten  bed-roomed mansion, plus a savings account
certificate for £5 million.  For my little brother, this gold Rolex, and
for you Daddy the spanking  new Mercedes limited edition convertible that's
parked outside plus a  lifetime membership to the Country Club...(takes a
breath)...and an  invitation for you all to spend New Years' Eve on board
my new yacht in  Cannes, and...."

"Now what was it you said you had  become?"

Girl, crying again, "Sniff, sniff... A prostitute Dad! ...  Sniff, sniff"

"Oh! Be Jaysus! - you scared me half to death,  girl!
I thought you said "a Protestant". Come over 'ere and give your  ol' man a
hug!"
Hope that amuses and doesn't offend anyone.
Have a good day, don't forget to smile,
love
Joan
Lesson25-MemoryPhoto.jpg picture by Bobbiedazzler1 I've put 1934 but it could have been 1935 when I was 3.  Notice how overdressed they are for the beach and Mum's Marcel Wave, lol.

Good Moring Joan,
Well it is a very frosty morning up here. I'm on duty at the Church Centre this morning with Jack so that will take care of the morning. this afternoon I've got ironing to do from yesterdays washing. Then late afternoon I've got the doctors to find out about my blood tests.
Todays proverb is:-   Ask a silly question and you get  -  A silly answer.
Like your family photo , yes Joan things have certainly changed. Can you imagine anyone going to the beach dressed that way these days.
Good luck with finding a new site for us. One of the draw backs with multiply is that we can't copy and paste our own little good morning greetings that wev'e built up. You can only use thier glitter grapics page as far as I can see.
Hope you and Brian stay well.
Have a good day everyone.
Love Beth xx

Good morning everyone on this 1st day of December. Well technically afternoon now, but it was morning when I began typing, but it wouldn't send, fingers crossed this does, good job I copied the original message!

It's cold here but lovely and sunny, got one load of washing out already.

Sounds nasty what you and Brian had Joan, glad you're o.k. today, you must have needed all that sleep. Love the joke and the pic is great, I've some like that in my box of old pics.

No plans for today except we are going to our grandson's Christmas concert at his school tonight, then waiting to bring him home, his mum and dad are going tomorrow. I'm going to put casseroles in the oven soon so our meal is ready when we get in.

Have a good day all, and good luck to our Monday weighers.

Love & hugs

Phil, I think you'll have a wonderful time at the Christmas Concert!  I envy you, I used to love going to the ones put on by my children's schools and my grandchildren's.  Only once of my great grandchildren has started school and he lives away so I don't even know which school he goes to.  Did I tell you I got a new GGD on 5th Nov.  She was born just before we went on holiday and we didn't find out until the day we came back.  I think she's called Ella, lol.  With so many it's hard to remember names.
Your casseroles will be very warming and lovely to come home to.
Your mention of weighing reminds me I forgot again this week.  I lost just hallf a pound but after what I lost the previous two weeks I'm quiet happy.
love
Joan

I had a lovely time thanks Joan, joining in with all the Christmas songs. Jack is in the school orchestra but did go up on stage for a reading. The pic above is 3 years ago, someone made it for me with their pics on it.

Congratulations on your new GGD, must get hard remembering names I only have two grandchildren so far and no greats yet!

Well done on the half off, and yes we ddid enjoy having a meal all ready to come into, it was loads of veggies with lentils and barley, Tony had chicken in his.

Nearly my bed time, I'm trying to go up earlier as when it's late and Tony snoring in the chair is when I grab food to nibble like crisps!

See you in the morning.

Love Phil x x x
