It’s quite hard to remember every single item of food you eat if you don’t keep a note of it ?preferably as soon as you’ve eaten it. If you’re not sure of how many calories you’ve already had, it’s very easy to have too many ?a frequent cause of a mysterious lack of weight loss
If you are using recommended menus from your own diet club, the calories are already worked out for you ?but don’t forget to add any extra items or larger portions that you have. It’s a good idea to write everything down in a notebook, or you can use our Food Diaries or the ones on any dieting site you may belong to. If you keep a record of everything you eat in a week, you can repeat a week that gave you a really good weight loss! I have daily food diaries going back years and some from 2001 when I lost a lot of weight with WW after my heart attack. I have noted on them my weight and loss so I can repeat the better weeks. Also eating the same as a previous week saves some planning time for another week.
Good Idea
The usual way is simply to add things up as you go along. However, some people prefer to start with their daily allowance and deduct from it as they go along so they always know how many calories they have left. I think I’ll try this.
NB
When I refer to calories, I include points, checks, syns or anything else you may have to count.
2008 is the year we really shed the weight so onward and downward together girls,
