If you start on a big family-sized pack of crisps, it is very difficult to know when to stop. A small individual pack at least controls the amount you eat and you might stop and think before opening another pack.
Low-fat cheese spread is easier to control if you buy it in triangles rather than helping yourself from a tub.
As previously mentioned, wine can be bought in 25-ml cans or bottles that will limit you to 2 glasses.

Only do home-baking when you know there will be other people around to share it, or you know you can divide into portions that will freeze.
