My next few little chats are on staying motivated.

Many of us feel excited at the prospect of being slim, perhaps for the first time in many years.

Try and hang on to that feeling of excitement as you progress towards your target. Even if you have the occasional setback, remind yourself of all the benefits you are achieving, not only when you have reached your target but all along the way.

Think of these:

Your risks of getting Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease lessen. I had a heart attack in 2000 and was diagnosed with diabetes and high BP: all these were because I was over 17 stone! This is what doctors told me and why should I doubt them!

Your existing wardrobe starts to fit better and there is a prospect of buying flattering clothes in a smaller size.

As the pounds drop off, your confidence rises.

It gets progressively easier to move around.

You’ve every right to be very pleased with your efforts to date ?and enjoy the prospect of more success to come.

That’s something to be excited about!! Go for it girls!!

Happy slimming,

You know you can do it,

Hugs

Joan
