Because you’re worth it!
If you feel good about the way you look, you are more likely to stay positive and stick with your plan. When your clothes start getting too loose (fantastic) and frankly don’t do you any favours, why not treat yourself to a few new things.
In days gone by this might have been considered reckless if you still had a way to go, but nowadays with inexpensive high street chains and even supermarket clothing departments, there are plenty of bargains to be had. Even some of the charity shops sell new clothes at reasonable prices these days. Just think of the money you are saving on chocolates and crisps!
Wearing clothing that fits and flatters can be a great motivator. Start experimenting with new shapes, styles and colours. If they don’t all work out, it’s not a disaster and the lessons you learn will stand you in good stead when you’re at Target and may want to buy some better quality items. There are some tips on clothes that slim on in Carole's Beauty Parlour.
Things to remember
Only size zero models can get away with tight-fitting skirts and trousers in a shiny fabric.
Longer skirts and bootcut trousers give a slimming effect.
Avoid styles that add extra fullness at your widest part.
Light colours are flattering near your face.
It doesn’t have to be black ?navy, chocolate brown, dark green or burgundy can be equally slimming.
You’ll look slimmer if your outfit is one colour, e.g. a trouser suit versus trousers and a different coloured top.
You don't HAVE to wait until you're at target to look good - practise looking good now!! So many think "well at my weight it's not worth bothering! but it is always worth it. We owe it to ourselves, because we are worth it!!
Happy slimming,
Joan
