Leek and Neep Soup
300g/10 oz Washed and sliced Leeks
300g/10oz Whit turnip, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
900ml/ 11/2pints vegetable stock
black pepper.
Place all the ingredients into a large saucepan, bring to the boil, cover, reduce heat and simmers until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionaly.
Turn out heat and use a potato masher to crush vegetables, if too thick add extra water.
Re-heat as necessary and serve sprinkled with black pepper
