Dee... go to control panel on Soar page

then forum management, then click on category under main setting.... add category say GENERAL.. put description (opt).. then add sub-category General posts & hit update .. that way we can go ahead & start posting on the new site.. if you need anything, let me know.. I'm on working most of the time.. so I finally figured it out after about a week.. it's easy after you once do it.. gina

I joined the other week and it is super cute, but I too cannot figure out how to post? It says "locked forum" even after I remember to log in...

Managers will have to add category with a sub category so we can post.. I put my group on a little while ago, not too long before now & it took me a while to figure that one out, but I finally did, I had made categorys but no sub-categories to post on.. I posted in the one above chandra how you can do it, then we can post on the new group site.. also, you might want to activate the Chat room as well... I think you just click on the link & then it gets done maybe the by the next day or so.. if you need any help just let me know or send me an email or IM... gina

supposably they couldnt move this group over b/c i had it locked so now it way they will move everything over in less then 7 days

that is exactly what they told me on my group.. didn't even think about it when I clicked for them to move it over, but it actually didn't take 7 days when I unlocked for them to move it.. I think maybe 2 or 3 days at the most..... then I just locked it back so no spammers could take over .. gina

What about a yahoo group if there aren't working?

Which one are we supposed to use multiply or aimoo??? I'm so out of the loop lately.

1. How do I block anonymous users?

Start by logging into your Aimoo account, and then access My Control Panel >Community >Community setting >Preferences, just forward to NO.20: Anonymous users privilege.

2. How do I create new categories or sub-categories?

Make sure that you have logged into your Aimoo account, and then access My Control Panel >Community>Community Setting >category to add new categories or sub-categories as you like.

3. I have created a forum but theres no button to post a new topic.

The reason why you cannot find any where to post topics is probably that you may not created any sub-category in your category. Please get to your control panel > community setting > category > add sub-category.

4. Can I hide categories?

Yes, if you dont want some categories open to the public, just access My Control Panel >Community>Security>Users Access Type to set the access privilege.

5. Can I move a sub-category to another category?

Sure, after logging into your account, you may access My Control Panel>Community>Community Setting>Category to move.

6. I want to adjust the community width, where can I set?

After you logged into your account, and then access My Control Panel>Community>Skins, and choose the community skin you want to edit, just click on Edit>Community Width.

7. I dont want anonymous users go to the chat room in my forum.

We offer the feature for owner/admin to set the privileges to forum chat room under the section: control panel > community setting > preference > 4. Members chat privilege.

8. I edited my skins, but there is no changes happened to my community?

Please make sure that the skin you chose has been applied. You may go to the skin you applied in your community and then edit it. If nothing happens, please feel free to contact us.

9. Why there does not have enough space for the posts when choosing bigger font size?

Start by logging into your Aimoo account, and then access My left-hand ControlPanel >Skins > My skins > edit > 2. topic and reply, and then change Topic Content Font Line Height and Reply Content Font Line Height to larger than 20px.

10. I don't know how to make my member a moderator.

First login to your Aimoo account, then access your left-hand control panel > manage community > members > manage members, tick a member or several members, select the user title (a drop-down box at the bottom of the page) as Moderator, click on Submit button to confirm. After that, get to the moderator section to set the exact category and privileges for the moderator.

11. I don't want a member to access my forum any more, is there any possibility to do that?

Yes, you may ban the member in your left-hand control panel > manage community > security > banning, insert one of the three options including username, email and IP address and then the members cannot enter your forum any more.
