RE: Catching lint from the dryer lacking an outdoor vent.  The first clothes dryer I purchased was a Lady Kenmore apartment style dryer (on wheels) that could not be vented outdoors in this particular location.  So, I put a pair of old panty hose over the vent at the rear and kept it in place with a small elastic bunge-type cord with hooks on each end.  The air flows through the mesh of the panty hose, but the lint will get trapped.  The vented air is moist and will dampen the surface the panty hose rests on. You can discard the panty hose periodically or pull the lint out and reuse.  Hope this helps.
