>> The Emmy-winning host of 'Survivor' has agreed to drop us a line every week with his take on the latest episode and the behind-the-scenes action in Gabon. It doesn't get any better than this, folks. << Several of us here have read this week's already and enjoyed it....and the video at the end, as Starry mentioned. ;-) LindaJean, good idea to make this a separate thread, but I had to re-do it since you copied the entire page from that site. Thanks for the link! This line: "You should put some chili sauce on that" from the deleted scen had me laughing so hard. From talking strategy to chili sauce. Just cracked me up, lol. |

I love this site and totally agree about seeing that elephant. It looked bigger than any I've ever seen and to see Matty and Ace in that little canoe just staring and the elephant staring back was, as Jeff said...A grandslam. |

Jeff framed that scene well. Noticed this small article posted at sfever: Survivor's" Most Awe-some Moment link I can't say with full throttle that what Matty and Ace did was dumb because nothing bad happened. lol And I get that this is a once in a lifetime experience and the adventure of it all. But seeing the elephant from the distance they started at would've been satisfactory enough for me! |

I get where Jeff is coming from, but I hate feeling ordered around...and from a blog no less. lol And he's SO stuck on Ace's accent. I already figured he'd bring it up at the reunion. I never understood the fascination or confusion or whatever it is. He lived in 2 places! Glad he brought up the turtle, though. Watching, I felt it was going to be controversial and I'm relieved they didn't show it being killed and cut up. Starving, I understand it's food and you gotta do what you gotta do. It was tough for me to see, though. Having a turtle sanctuary near where I live doesn't help matters... |

Alright, I get that Ace could be plenty more mindful of his accent during the game...that perhaps he knowingly uses the english accent more than the american one so that it would (perhaps) be to his advantage? ok ok My issue is that someone could legitimately have 2 accents going on because of where they lived, jmo. |

I had a problem with the killing the turtle also and a bigger problem watching them eat it. They had plenty of food they should've adopted it as their mascot. It was really disgusting watching them eat it. |

I thought they should have put the turtle back and fished for something else. Yea, they weren't exactly starving, anyway. |

I was pretty disgusted by it, as I've had numerous pet turtles in the past, and it made me cringe a little bit. =/ |
