SITE POLICIES

No swearing or rude behavior of any kind will be tolerated!

Please remember that by becoming a member, you are bound by The MSN Rules and Regulations on Community usage and postings when contributing to our group.  You are also bound by the TOS, Terms of Service, regarding Hotmail usage.

Our community age group ranges from 15 years old and higher.  Serious conversations are okay, but, graphic language, profanity, or explicit content are not permitted at any time.  Our message boards are moderated for everyone's safety.

We make the following promise to you!  We will ...

  • Remove any inappropriate posting from the message board, immediately.  Examples are profanity, racism, sexual discrimination, political posts, or other offensive topics.
  • Remove any explicit material from the Photo Albums.
  • Remove any links to outside sites that violate our Code of Conduct.

Treat everyone with the same respect as you wish to be treated.  There will be many varied opinions on specific topics.  If someone feels differently about an issue, their comments should be taken as their own personal viewpoint, not an attack.  Inflamatory and defamatory posts against other members, personal attacks against the management or MSN will not be tolerated; this specifically relates to individuals who are in need of professional Anger Management counseling.

If it is necessary to ban a member due to repeated infractions, the community-at-large will no longer be notified, and the Managers will no longer comment or give justification for their actions.  A ban is not subject to debate.  Notification to the community-at-large has not been productive in the past.

Management reserves the right to lock a thread if and when the posts in the thread become too personal or repetitively confrontational but the thread has discussions of merit. A very distinct animated Gif in the last post of the thread will signify the locked thread. Any member posting after the Gif has been posted and the thread has been locked will face banishment from the Group. No debate on the boards will be entertained regarding the locked thread. If a new thread is started in an attempt to circumvent the locked thread and continue the confrontational nature of the locked thread, the new thread will be deleted and the offending member banned immediately.

Please do not spam our boards with new community links.  We don't mind if you post your link once or twice, but more than that is annoying to other members.  You will also find that it is extremely ineffective.  The proper way to solicit new members into any community is to use the MSN "Invite Someone to Join" system.  That's what it was created for, and you'll gain many more members by showing your effort in sending personalized invitations.  You are free to access our community list for this purpose, as well as all other community lists.

In the same vane, please do not spam our boards with GIF animations which have nothing to do with your subject matter.  By all means feel free to use an appropriate and topical GIF with your post.  Do not be a pig in regard to posting images; wasting bandwidth for the sake of dumping is not productive to other members or to MSN's servers.   Obsessive and excessive GIF posting is akin to throwing garbage out of a car window.  This is your community, so keep it running smoothly.

In order to protect the integrity of copyrighted materials and avoid legal issues and bandwidth stealing, members are prohibited from copying and pasting photos and written articles in their entirety.

One may copy and paste The Title and opening paragraph and provide a link to the site of origin of the article for the members to follow.

The posting of photos are allowed if you upload your photos to our photo album page first, (or upload your photos directly from your computer's photo album into your post), and then use the 'Insert Picture' feature when creating your post.  Explicit photos are not allowed.

Avoid the use of ALL CAPS.  On the Internet, this is equivalent to screaming or shouting your opinion at someone.  Use proper netiquette and common courtesy.

There is no reason to 'bump' a thread up until it reaches the second page of messages and is of some kind of extreme importance.

This is the message board to post spoilers on, it is also located on the left side of your screen under the 'Message Boards', it is called 'Spoilers Board': http://groups.msn.com/SURVIVORTheCBSTelevisionSeries/spoilersgohere.msnw

PLEASE DO NOT POST SPOILERS OR POSSIBLE SPOILERS ON THE GENERAL BOARD, THEY SPOIL THE SHOW FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THEM

This way, people who want to know the spoilers can go to the spoilers message board.  Your co-operation in this would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

For your information, here is what we define as spoilers, and what is not:

What is a spoiler?

· Information that allows you to know, in advance, anything that will happen on the show.

· Or instead, such information makes you conclude what will happen on the show.

· It takes away the element of surprise.

What is a possible spoiler?

· Information and/or certain speculation that may allow you to know, in advance, what will happen on the show.

· Or instead, such information/speculation makes you to conclude what may happen on the show.

· It may take away the element of surprise and not always by coincidence.

- Any show information from Jeff Probst, Mark Burnett, or CBS, is NOT considered a spoiler.

What is a prediction?

· When you indicate, guess, or speculate what is likely to occur based on your own observations.

· It often times does not take away any element of surprise, but if it does, it’s always by coincidence.

Predictions can continue to be posted in the General message board area, but Spoilers and Possible Spoilers are to be posted in the area, Spoilers Board.

If any spoiler messages are posted on the ‘general’ message board, violators will have their memberships terminated.

If there is a problem, please report it to all of the managers immediately, so that the first manager on-line can handle the situation.  You can post a problem to the message board, or contact the managers directly by e-mail using this link: Send E-Mail to the Managers  Include your email address in your message if you would like a reply.

Follow these simple rules, and our community will be one that we can all be proud to contribute to.  Thanks for joining!
