I think I read either on either Jeff's blog or Dalton's something about Ace's accent possibly not holding out until the end of the show. That got me thinking... I seem to remember hearing him on Thursday night speaking in a confessional with a bit of an American accent.

Am I dreaming this??

Why would he fake an accent?

Yea, Jeff mentioned the accent:
>>  Not sure what to make of Ace. I love him on the show. He's gold. But I have the same question everybody else probably has…is the accent real?  If not, how much effort does it take to keep it "on" all the time?

Taken from Ace's bio:
>>  Born in New York but raised in London, Ace attended the prestigious Hill House School in Knightsbridge. His privileged background and world travels lead Gordon to mockingly state, "I'm probably better than you and highly more educated."

Thinking about it now, I'm not sure what Jeff is driving at or why he thought it was important to bring up.   If you're in London for 2 days, you'll pick up the accent.
And Ace was raised there, of course the accent's gonna come out now and again.
I was raised in NYC, but my closest friend for 25 yrs. was part Italian and French.
Then I lived in CA for 20 yrs.  The sounds I make all seem 'real' to me (lol)...but NYC dominates. ;-)

Ace's mannerisms reminds me an awful lot of Vin Diesel!

Let's have side-by-side of Ace and Mr. Diesel.

A coupla thoughts....
1.  Ace seems like the kind of guy who would like to see if he can stick with a fake accent thoughout the whole season just to see if he could do it.
2.  I read as a side note on some board that a guy who used to work with Ace said that he liked to fake his accent and it caused problems at work.  Don't know how true the statement is.
3.  Whether his accent is real or not it's drawing a bit of attention.  It'll be interesting to hear how Jeff addresses it and how Ace responds at the finale.
