Just wondering if any of you like Christopher Guest's films, like Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind, etc...... I just love them and the humor. And the casting, too. Catherine O'Hara is a particular favorite of mine. |

I haven't seen A Mighty Wind yet...but Waiting for Guffman is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Guest has an odd sense of humor that seems to fit right in with mine. But aside from his movies he's a wonderful character actor to boot. One of his best roles, IMO, was the 6 fingered man in The Princess Bride. Jim |

You'll like A Mighty Wind then, Jim. I've loaned it to a friend and when I get it back I'm loaning it to a friend/co-worker of my dad's. She's Betty Stookey. I think she and her husband will get a kick out of it since her husband Noel is Paul of Peter, Paul and Mary (Paul is his middle name). I hesitated at first thinking maybe he'd be offended, but he and Betty have a good sense of humor so I think he'll appreciate it. |

Too funny! I just wrote Guest's name in another thread right before I saw this one. Christine - As soon as his movies hits the theaters, I am there! I also appreciate that kind of humor mucho. Did you laugh at some of the words to A Mighty Wind at the end of the movie? Or was it something I just imagined Guest was doing? *blush* lol |

Yeah, I laughed! I just got this film back from my cousin and she said she laughed through the whole thing but her mother watched it with her and never even chuckled. I guess some people just don't get it! I can't wait for whatever he does next!! |
