Yes, yes, yes!        Well, I'll check some reviews first.

I saw the trailer in a theater last month.  To say it captured me is an understatement.  Some special effects!     And Will Smith is nice to look at, too.   ;-)

Not that I know of. ???

It's an adaptation of Isaac Asimov's sci-fi short stories.

If y'all are interested, Scott Juba at The Trades has a very positive review of I, Robot up...

Doesn't seem very spoilerish and he loved it.

Enjoyed reading that, thanks.  I had forgotten about the Will Smith and successful sci-fi action films connection.   :-s
I just started looking for some more reviews and came across this:

I, Robot gets two thumbs up from Asimov's daughter     here

Thanks Jim!  I'm really glad to see that it got a good review.  Not as if a bad one would have stopped me from seeing it.  But it's just nice to know that it's probably as good as it looks in the previews.  Besides I really love Will Smith and I'm glad to see he may have a hit on his hands.  I was a bit concerned after Wild Wild West. What a stinker that one was.

I loved the robot series by Isaac Asimov and don't see how they ended up with his daughter's endorsement.  It totally trashes Asimov's 3 laws of robotics.  My husband wants to see it and I'll have to try to pretend I didn't read the books in order to try to enjoy it.  But Suzan Calvin as a sexy woman???  yikes

It was pretty good. thumbs up on the special effects. I thought Will Smith did a decent job as the unconventional cop. It was the middle of the movie before they showed us why he was suspicious of Robots. Glad they cleared that up.  And it gives a great twist on the three laws. but-
the plot - gosh, wasn't the story line the same as Disney's Tron ?

Thanks for the review Cutter.  I still haven't seen it but I'm looking forward to it.
