Checked out the Van Halen tour in Louisville @ Freedom hall last night - Jim Steinman lives nearby ! I got to meet him last night - he was with VAL KILMER !
A couple of guys I met have a cameo in the new Van Halen Video, which was filmed last night ! They had 12 seats in the first 6 rows ! Long story on how we got a couple of the floor seats !

Van Hagar is re-releasing the Best of Both Worlds CD with three NEW tunes.
Sammy is sooo phat ! I swear, he autographed everything that hit the stage... even a prosthetic leg !!
Eddie, Alex and Michael are still kicking A** and put 110% into their performance. They’ll both be in the Video, Val Kilmer had green hair and a goatee

The opening band was group from Philly called SilverTide and they are rockers. That lead guitarist has a killer style with lots of rifts.
I’ll be watching to see if they bring out an CD - THEY can ROCK !

Cutter! SilverTide does indeed kick ass! I'm from Philly, have seen them 2 times in small, intimate settings. Absolutely worth the price of admission. Their first CD is due in stores September 28th, just so's ya know.

As for Van Hagar, I haven't been a fan since Diamond Dave left. I did see them in concert. Running with the Devil tour. They opened for Black Sabbath. It was Van Halen's first national tour, Sabbath's last, and VH blew them off the stage. Ozzy and the boys were going through the motions by then.

Peace
John

I've seen Halen around 10 different times, but I never saw them with Roth...only Hagar.

Would like to go again this time around...but the tickets are just too damn expensive...so I'll just remember the other tours and play 5150 while the concert's going on.  :)
