Not sure if there are any Ramones fans here, but Johnny Ramone has passed away (I believe they said it was colon cancer which he'd been battling for five years).  I used to love the Ramones and watched Rock and Roll High School every chance I got when it would be on cable in the early 80s.  Now Johnny joins two other members - Joey and Dee Dee.

The Ramones are indeed one of the most influential punk bands ever.  You'd be hard pressed to find many bands that don't list the Ramones as a major influence.

Can't believe how many of them have died here recently...all in there 50s, I think.

Such a shame for the music world.
