Well, at least the first team eliminated got a chance to do some racing.  Unlike when they did it in Survivor-Palau with the schoolyard pick and Jonathan and Wanda didn't even really get a chance!

 

I kind of liked it because it was truly unexpected and I think it will make people try harder in the beginning legs of races. 

At first I considered it unfair and didn't like it but the more I thought about it, the more I thought it was only because I've been watching it so long the other way.  They could have startedd the show this way from the beginning and they did caution not to assume anything.  It will add to the suspense and make the teams try harder ALL the time... makes it a better show IMHO.  Maybe the producers have seen them slack and drag except for the pit stops which eats up alot from their perspective.
