Can't wait for the reelection.  Zach might be the only one to keep his spot, but I doubt it.

I think it's going to be interesting to watch as the town will have (in only 2 elections) gotten all the younger kids off the council and replaced them with the older kids in town.

Blaine, Michael and DK are 14 and Greg is 15.  While age doesn't matter to us as adults so much...it seems to matter to the kids.  They trust the older kids to do what's right moreso than the younger.

I mean, Greg is gonna win unanimously and he's the most volatile kid out there...he'll win because of his age and because the younger kids feel he's more suited to be a leader.

I also think it's note-worthy that all 4 people stepping up to run are gold star winners.  Seems they all were VERY deserving of their gold stars.

Yea, its time for another change. I really like Lauran, but she may not be the best leader. I''d be glad to see some older kids get elected. Jim, I hope your right about Greg winning. I like him and Michael is a sweety. I hope he has leadership qualities.

Did you feel like things were really "staged" last week?  It just seems like too many times the kids were saying stuff that wasn't really their own idea.  Like the little Asian boy with one tooth....

The show seemed so promising from the beginning.  I'm wondering though if it's going to go the way Pirate Master did and finish up online.  They had some excitement when Taylor was being herself but I think they are trying to contrive some controversy to make more people watch.

I can understand how you're seeing it that way but I don't agree.  I think what they're doing on the show, as far as coming up with controversial moves from the book, was most likely planned from the beginning.  Even though the show has to be interesting, I think alot of planning went into it.... yes, for entertainment but also.... to deal with the very same things that are dealt with in our culture/society to see how the kids would handle them.  Having said that, frankly, I don't care if it was planned from the start or as it goes along, depending on what's happening with the kids, because I do want to see how they handle the various problems adults have trouble handling.

As the show goes along, I find myself wondering how many original solutions the kids are coming up with and how many are things they've already learned in their homes.  It still find the premise fascinating and look forward to it each week... also that they have more seasons.

I was glad to see some new council members.  I think Greg is gonna work out fine.  He can be a bit of a hot head sometimes but he is a people person and he wants people to like him.

He seems to have grown up a bit sincce the beginning.

What is it with that girl..... I swear I have a mental block on her name.... the one who built the library.  I still find Taylor the most entertaining one in town...... what a lil spit fire. lol  Got a feeling she's going places in life.  I can see her running a company... probably her own but could also see her clawing her way to CEO of another with a "take no prisoners attitude."

The library girl is Sophia.

I think Taylor's got some problems... only the ugly chickens could go??

I thought it was very interesting that the counsel finally chose a fun reward and what happened to the town.  Hmm, could we learn something here?

The one who built the library is Sophia. I like her so far. She becomes the town sheriff so she may take on a more assertive personality. I can see why she was angry about that Arcade.

I was totally with Greg on the library thing.  They're there for 8 more days...why have a  library put in...go with the arcade.

If this was day 3 and they had another 37 to go, I'd say go with the library.

And those boys are old enough to know they should have set some ground rules for the arcade from the get-go.

It could be as simple as having regularly scheduled hours.

"The arcade opens at 10am.  Closes at 12pm for lunch.  Reopens at 3pm.  Closes at 5pm for dinner.  Reopens at 7pm, closes at 9 or 10pm for the night."

But, that's probably the adult in me coming out.  :)

I thought Sophia did a great job as Sheriff.  Everyone got a lot of work done while she was in charge, even Taylor worked hard.
It is a tough choice I think each week for the counsel to choose who wins the gold star.  I felt bad for Zach when he went in and got laughed at but I was glad he went back and stood up for himself.  It looks like with each step Greg makes for the wrong he learns something.
I thought the reward was really fun for them too, most would never have had that chance to ride in a hot air balloon and they will remember that forever.

I would love to see another season of the show.  My kids and I always talk about what they would do if they were in that situation, we love watching.

I would love to see another Season too.

Also agree on the choice.... that whatever it was called will prolly deteriorate into nothing after the show has its run.

I was nicely totally surprised by Sophia..... she really knows how to manage people.

Jellybeans, another Kid Nation would be nice, but I don't see it happening.
This show's ratings have dwelled in the low 50's since the beginning. It would be
interesting how this experience will help mould the kids into adults!
