Yes Tyne is awesome, did you happen to see the show where Sharon showed up as Maxine's old friend? |

I love the Maxine character, actually wished my mom was more like her, but oh well she's the mom I got and I'm used to her now LOL. I like how Maxine always struggles with what is the correct thing to do (by the book), and what seems to be the RIGHT thing to do. Like when she knew that foster boy, who stabbed the stalker, took the knife out there with him. I think that episode with Sharon Gless was so much about that kind of thing, and how Maxine had followed the path of doing what she felt was right for the kids even though it might bend/break the rules, while her friend took the path of what was correct, totally by the book to get ahead for herself. That episode is one of my favorites. And I think that Bruce not showing up is what made Amy realize that going through with it would be a disaster in the end. They have a great friendship, but I wouldn't want to see them try take it into a relationship. Yeah, Amy getting into a relationship with Lauren's boyfriend's dad would drive Lauren crazy, but I can see them doing that this year. Lauren is getting very much into the early teen girl, I hate my mother stage. This would give them something to really make her go nuts over. |

Yes, I admit - I like the show too. But someone please explain why she is still living at home with mom? My favorite character is her brother, the doctor, Kyle (I think - can't remember for sure). I've missed the last couple of shows including the non-wedding. Glad to hear she didn't go through with it. |

LOL Stone! I think the show is based on Amy's mother's real life story. Her mother is a judge and I guess lived with her mother while she raised her daughter. Kyle is Amy's cousin........Vincent is her bother. I like Vincent too so him being back last week means he's going to be coming back to the show. And I do love Maxine!! She is a wonderful actress and the show wouldn't be the same without her! |

Yeah, it is supposed to be loosely based on Amy's mom's life so that's why the living arrangements. Didn't Amy moving in with mom have to do with her life/finances etc etc being so screwed up because of her original divorce she had no other choice/no where else to go? Maybe it's also a comment on how little juvenile court judges are paid in relation to other judges....don't know....but they sure had her in a crappy apartment when she did move out for a while. Yet she could buy her mom's house right after that no problem. Sometimes TV plots just boggle my mind. Glad she had her epiphany and has gone back to juvenile court. And Kyle's new boss sure looks like a jerk....hope the hospital finds it out and gets rid of him and gives Kyle the job. |

All I can say is... WHAT A KISS! Darn that would have turned me on to no end...I sure wouldn't have left out of that house as fact as Amy did. That is one HOT lawyer! And I think Amy's mom and the landscape guy are cute together......nice twist to the story, I think. Jeania |

That was a good show last night.....the young boy's rap was really good, and you could tell it really touched Maxine was touched. I can't believe Amy got so stupid about Stu....hello!!!!! You're with a hottie, much cuter than Stu is....you left Stu at the altar, not the other way around. Why does it matter to you what he's doing? And she was so stupid, talking about it and obsessing over it while she's on a date with Hottie Lawyer (why can't I ever remember his name?) J_Liz |

HottieLawyer's name is David and he is played by Adrian Pasdar. There was a short lived show a few years back called Profit which starred Adrian Pasdar and I have been a big fan of his ever since. |
