I just read that an All Stars addition is currently being filmed. Does anyone have anymore information on this. Supposed contestants Fji's -Yau Man Chan, Michelle Yi Vanuatus - Julie Berry (Jeff's gotta love that) Eliza Orlins and Ami Cusack Palau's Katie Gallagher, Ian Rosenberger, Jennifer Lyon and Coby Archa Guatemalas - Lydia Morales, Judd Sergeant, Gary Hogeboom. Panamas - Terry Dietz, Cirie Fields and Shane Powers Cook Islands - Ozzy Lusth, Parvati Shallow and Jonathan Penner and two from China...this makes 21 so I don't know how accurate this is. I guess there is a lot of controversy because producers weren't thinking that the names of the all stars would get out and they named two from China which has ruined it for a lot of fans of the two from China. The article says "Survivor producers tipped their hand by casting the pair in a second all-stars series and competition winners have NEVER appeared in the All Stars series."...this is wrong..did they forget about Tina. I would not have put this here if posted on the regular board but the two from China are James and Courtney. |

The following was moved from the general board | | Reply
 | | Well folks there are countless stories and "rumors" around about Survivor All Stars 2 which will indeed be the 16th, and possibly, the last edition of Survivor. What can be confirmed is that the CBS series is back in PALAU setting up to begin filming the 16th edition of the "granddaddy" of Reality shows. The last Survivor Palau show was the 10th edition back in the winter of 2005 and was one of the highest rated. The winner that season was New York Firefighter Tom Weston and it also introduced us to some memorable players Bobby Jon Drinkard, Stephanie LaGrossa, Ian Rosenberger, Coby Archa, James Miller and even Wanda Shirk who was best remembered for her original songs sung in the first episode (she didn't even get a chance to play). Bobby Jon and Stephanie were so popular the show brought them back for the following season in Guatemala. Well, sources do confirm that the Palasia Hotel is booked for Survivor 16 and arrangements for the construction, security and filming are already underway. According to Palau residents it is no secret Survivor is returning, but most hope the show will do more to showcase the Palauan culture than it did the first time. The CBS Series is definitely planing a return to Palau, Pacific Magazine has learned, however the CBS network and the Survivor Productions have not made any announcements. Sources say that the Survivor production company did indeed contact companies in Palau regarding preparations to film the 16th version in the Rock Islands of Palau. As for which former Survivors is expected to return, the source gave a complete list. However the list is very possible to change in the next few weeks. The contestants are rumored to be leaving for Palau about the end of October/Early November. The current List is as follows Survivor 9: Vanuatu Eliza Orlins who placed 4th Julie Berry who placed 5th (and Jeff Probst's girlfriend) Ami Cusack who placed 6th Survivor 10: Palau Katie Gallagher who placed 2nd Ian Rosenberger who placed 3rd Jenn Lyon who placed 4th Coby Archa who placed 9th Survivor 11: Guatemala Lydia Morales who placed 4th Judd Sergeant who placed 6th Gary Hogeboom who placed 7th Survivor 12: Panama Terry Deitz who placed 3rd Cirie Fields who placed 4th Shane Powers who placed 5th Survivor 13: Cook Islands Ozzy Lusth who placed 2nd Parvati Shallow who placed 6th Jonathan Penner who placed 7th Survivor 14:Fiji Yau-Man Chan who placed 4th Michelle YI who placed 10th Survivor 15:China Courtney and James (currently airing)
However as expected the list includes no former winners, including Tom Weston, since fans and critics felt the winners had initial "targets on their backs" and were an easy vote out ASAP. The list also is missing some former notable players who viewers and fans wished to return including Twila Tanner, Chad Crittenden, Lea "Sarge" Masters from Vanuatu James Miller and Angie Jakusz from Palau Jamie Newton, Rafe Judkins, Brian Corridan from Guatemala Courteny Marit, Bobby Mason, Danielle DiLorenzo from Panama Anh-Tuan "Cao Boi" Bui, Adam Gentry, Jessica "Flica"Smith from Cook Islands James "Rocky" Reid, Rita Verreos, Andria "Dre" Herd from Fiji Being that All Stars only includes about 20 or so former Survivors many who want to "play again" often don't get that shot. Also many fans feel a game should be played with all the Survivors who were the first three out. Usually we don't get to see much of thier game play and it would be interesting to see how once put all together one would come out the "sole survivor". Also the rumor that the ALL STAR II will be the final Survivor ever...has not been confirmed...<WBR>.. the ratings for SURVIVOR have been consistent and the show often still wins its timeslot, something other older reality shows can't say (except for IDOL of course). Its possible if ALL STARS II is a "HIT" we may see more, or Mark Burnett may just pull the plug while still on top. | |

 | | I like the list..it has a lot of my favs on it. I don't see MB pulling the plug now that he doesn't have Apprentice and the debacle Piratemaster..He needs the money...LOL | | Reply
 | | I could live with another heaping helping of Ami. Mmmmmm....Ami.. Jim | | Reply
 | | While I'm not real high on another All Stars - like Jim, I would love to see some more of Ami. Jim, you gotta send me that link again - you know which one I'm talking about... When I was writing the L&D column, my favorite column title was the week that Ami got voted out and gave everyone the finger as she strolled down Loser Lane - my title was "AMI FINGERS THE COMPETITION" - ahh, still love it! Jennifer Lyon would be nice on the eyes although I thought her health might have kept her from getting another shot. Of course, Mrs. Probst, err I mean Julie Berry would be fun to see and watch the dynamic between her and Jeff. Eliza is ok, Parvati is decent but can we leave Cirie, Lydia and Katie at home? Ugh! It would be fun to watch Shane around Coby and even throw in Judd and Jonathan- hilarity should ensue...just imagine if Rocky was in here along with Cao Boi? Forget CBS - give me Pay-Per-View! I'd give Hogeboom and Yau-Man the roles of the quiet honest guys that will play both sides. I bet Ian tries to latch on to Terry as his Tom fill-in Terry and Ozzy would have to be the early favorites to win it in my book. Of course, we could always put in Jerri and Heidi to make Jim and I really happy... | | Reply
 | | That link ain't too hard to find. Head on over to the Google and Google Ami and a certain publications title and you should find the photos quite easily. Jim | | | |

How can Jeff be impartial with Julie on all-stars? Can you image if she were to win...........Can almost hear the uproar now. Everything leading Jeff said would be under a microscope. Interesting but really not fair to Julie . . |

I dont' really think Julie Berry should be on the show, it might be interesting to watch the dynamics between her and Jeff but I agree w/ heyyou in saying there would be an uproar were she to win. Maybe they will rethink that one. |

Thanks Jakey, I guess I missed this one or I don't remember it. I feel the same about Julie. It just doesn't seem right. But then who knows, they may have a big fight and it could be interesting. The big uproar about announcing James and Courtney supposedly ruined it for people because if they were rooting for them, they knew now that they didn't win China..But they were wrong in saying that no winners were on All Stars. There were plenty of them. |

how interesting..... I didn't even know this board was here. One.... it would not be fair to Julie to exclude her because of a relationship she's in unless there are already contractual rules on it... like players can't be related, etc. to cast or crew. Two..... so what would Jeff do to help her win? Rig the challenges? I can't remember a single one where that could even be done. (Although they could be chosen at critical times to play to her strengths like the Courtney balancing crap) So could Jeff tip her off on other player's strategy? He isn't supposed to know what's going on..... unless that has been a lie. Three...... a statement at the beginning of the show stating she and Jeff will have no contact for the duration of it would suffice for me. Four.... other players would treat her better? Not vote her off? I don't think so..... Survivor players aren't that wimpy and if everything is on the up and up... what would they have to loose? Four.... she would probably decline anyway thinking she would probably be the first to go.... total waste of time and she would probably enjoy to trip to the location more as Jeff's companion. |

supposed to be two showmances. Amanda/Ozzy and James/Parvati. Both are so unlikely in my eyes. Also, JFP gets the first boot. No surprise there. I guess he doesn't even complete a challange. Yauman also is an early boot. |
