And for Mike... if you remember Triandos, then you remember Richie Ashburn and Tony Taylor. You probably also well remember Norm Snead. You also must remember some of the old S.F. Giants you used to be NY Giants. Valmy Thomas and Mays and Antonelli and Sanford. |

T O is a huge addition for sure, but I think the bigger pick up was The Freak Jevon Kearse. The Birds had no pass rush to speak of last season. Only 7.5 sacks from the d-line. Kearse will keep the oppositions O-Line from getting into that undersized linebacker corps. The only backer with any size is up at the meadowlands now. I'm not so sure Dhani Jones can take up the slack for losing Emmons. Plus the untested new secondary will also benefit from the improved pass rush. Course, if I knew what the hell I was talking about, I wouldn't be mixing chemicals for a living. I'd be coaching somewhere! |

At one time, the Giants had Willie McCovey AND Orlando Cepeda. Since they were both big slugger types and there was no dh, the only place they could play was first base. So, the team had to put McCovey in left field. Talk about a bad outfielder! And due to this problem, the Giants ended up trading Cepeda to the Cardinals straight up for Ray Sadecki (and then Cepeda and Brock and Gibson led the Cards to the 68 series). Of course, the Cards had to live with letting Steve Carlton go to Philly. |

I heard that Kelly Collins is talking to the Raiders. They could use a guy like him to back up Gannon (when Gannon always goes down). |

Probably, because no one has picked him up, he is just glad to be in the league. The NFL is a cold place and you always must prove yourself or you are gone (see Kurt Warner). |

Yes Jim I figured I would cheer while I could lol cause I don't see them having a really good season.......Coughlin,,,,,hmmmm I don't think so. That authoritarian style coaching went out with hand cranked autos lol. He will do OK but not as good as a coach the guys really like and respect like Parcells. Mike |
