Linda Jean: A word of warning. Don't count your chickens before they are hatched; or as Yogi Berra put it "It ain't over 'til it's over". The curse will be officially lifted when the final out is made and Boston wins the World Series. I'm not certain it will be this year. |

LOL Tanya..... How did u become a "Cardinal" anyway??? They are not real close to your home are they? I used to Like Bob Gibson and Stan Musial from there.....I did not see much of Stan except him in the stands as a fan watching his team before u think I am 100 yrs old..... I did hear a lot about Stan being a gr8 player too I guess and that made me a fan of his. Mike BTW as a kid I loved Willie McCovey(44) and Willie Mays(24) of the Giants but I have always been a "Dodgers Fan" Sandy Koufax is my favorite and Drysdale and Maury Wills and Willie Davis and oooooooooo so many good players of the Dodgers I like. |

Mike, I grew up in Missouri and still have family there. We lived about 3 1/2 hrs from St. Louie and my older sister was a huge fan. Saw my first game at Bush stadium when I was 11 and have been a die hard fan ever since, we used to go to about 2 games a year--I was fortunate enough to see "The Wizard of Oz" Ozzie Smith play and do his game starting back flips many many times. My sister used to talk non stop about Bob Gibson and Stan the Man. I also enjoy all the history that comes with the Cardinals, as you enjoy it with the Dodgers--been some really great players for LA. I miss seeing the Cards play at the stadium but I cheer them all the way from here. Even though I live in Tennessee now, they are still my team. Hey Charlie....when's the game?? |

Silly folks, there is no curse! Actually, what gets me is the title "Red Sox Nation". Who made that up? For some reason, it irritates me. I'm a fan, not a member of a nation! Anyway, you're all right, it ain't over til it's over. But I have a great feeling about it this year! |
